What is Lactium?

Lactium is an alpha-casozepine enriched hydrolysed milk protein, which basically means that it is a special extract derived from cow’s milk. This unique ingredient may help to alleviate stress in adults and relieve some of the symptoms that come with it, especially in the areas of digestion, intellectual function and emotional state.

Lactium has been shown to modulate the body’s stress or ‘fight or flight’ response. This is your body’s general reaction to events that make you feel threatened or upset your natural balance in some way, and causes a flood of hormones and cascade of physiological changes in order to deal with this perceived physical or emotional stressor. Your heart may beat faster, muscles tighten, your breath quickens and your senses sharpen to prepare you to ‘fight or flee’. This response was designed to protect us in an emergency situation and in the right circumstances can save our lives (for eg. If being chased by a bear) or help us rise to meet challenges. However, persistent modern-day stress may affect our mind, body and behaviour in many ways and result in a whole host of problems including feeling overwhelmed and irritable, being unable to concentrate and cause muscle tension and digestive complaints.

Why your body needs Lactium?

While a little bit of stress motivates us and helps us to perform at our best, prolonged stress can have adverse effects on our health. Modern life is full of deadlines, frustration, hassles and demands, which may not only affect our daytime functioning but may affect how well we sleep. Lactium may help you cope with day to day stress and some of the symptoms that come with it so you can relax your restless mind and get a good night’s sleep.

Where can I find Lactium?
